Holiday Gems research shows the disparities between the sexes when it comes to holidaying

New research shows 45% of men said pulling is one of the most important things when on holiday. Only 20% of women said the same.

STOCKPORT, UK – Holiday Gems, an experienced holiday package provider, has carried out new research that shows the disparities between the sexes when it comes to holidaying in same sex groups.

One of the biggest disparities between the two groups were their attitudes around pulling on holiday. 20% of women surveyed said pulling is the most important thing about a girl’s holiday, in direct contrast, 45% of men say it’s the most important thing on a lad’s holiday.

This startling statistic was one of many interesting facts to be revealed by the survey, many of which showed the differences between the sexes:

  • 68% of women surveyed said that getting a tan was one of the most important factors to a successful holiday. Only 33% of men said the same.
  • Women also valued culture higher on their lists of needs with 53% of them saying that this was an important part of their holiday. Only 30% of men said the same.
  • 30% of women stated that UK citizens were the biggest cause of trouble when abroad. 47% of the men said the same.

Some similarities also arose from the survey, one of which was the genders’ agreement over drinking when on holiday. 64% of women surveyed said that drinking was vital to enjoying a girls only holiday and 63% of men said the same about lads only holidays.

Another similarity that arose was the amount of young British holiday goers that ended up sleeping on the beach when on holiday, an almost equal split of 35% from each group said they had.
