Milan Bergamo Airport unveils largest ever summer with fifteen new routes.

Milan Bergamo Airport

Capacity on scheduled services will grow by 8.4% year-on-year, reaching a record 12.5 million seats this summer. This significant increase reflects the airport’s dedication to meeting the evolving needs of travellers and supporting the growth of the region’s tourism industry.

Milan Bergamo Airport announce its largest ever network for the 2024 summer season, promising unmatched connectivity and convenience for travellers. From 31 March to 26 October, passengers can look forward to an array of new routes and expanded services, underscoring the airport’s commitment to solidifying Milan Bergamo as the gateway to northern Italy.

Leading the expansion is Ryanair, set to launch seven new routes to exciting capital city and leisure destinations including Beni Mellal, Biarritz, Castellon, Dubrovnik, Olbia, Sarajevo and Skiathos. These additions see Milan Bergamo as the only airport in Italy with nonstop service to Morocco’s Beni Mallal, as well as Sarajevo, the picturesque capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, those seeking fun in the sun will have more choice for their summer holiday than ever before.

Norwegian will reinforce its commitment at Milan Bergamo by complementing its existing Oslo and Bergen service with the introduction of an additional three new routes this summer, to Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Stavanger, offering travellers even more options for a Nordic escape.

Eurowings will enhance connectivity with the addition of Hannover, Milan Bergamo’s eighth destination in Germany. For those in search of a new adventure and unique getaway, Neos will commence flights to Boa Vista in Cape Verde, becoming the airport’s second destination in the archipelago.

Lumiwings and Aeroitalia will boost domestic services with new flights to Foggia and Perugia, respectively. Furthermore, both Aeroitalia and Dan Air will add Bacau in Romania to the airport’s expanding network.

In addition to these exciting new routes, carriers will increase frequencies on existing services, including destinations such as Dubai, Cairo, Tirana, and Porto, strengthening Milan Bergamo Airport’s commitment to providing accessible and diverse travel options for all passengers.

Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, said: “We are delighted to unveil our extensive lineup of new routes and increased capacity for the 2024 summer season. These enhancements not only offer travellers more choices and convenience but also demonstrate our ongoing commitment to driving connectivity and supporting the region’s economic development.”

As Milan Bergamo Airport continues to evolve into one of Italy’s premier travel hubs, passengers can expect unparalleled service, convenience, and connectivity throughout their journey this summer to close to 150 destinations across three continents.
