Built in 1910, the Oregon Pioneer Building – originally named The Railway Express Building – was the city's iconic first concrete building, which became known as Project Cinderella when it was revived in 1962, serving as a catalyst to restore historic buildings in downtown.

Both elegant and effortless, the notion of mixing the "high" and the "low" is carefully imbued into every facet of the hotel, creating a sense of dynamic warmth and liveliness. From its spectacular public spaces to the organic, modern art and locally-sourced furniture found throughout the hotel, the thoughtful design concept perfectly accentuates the aesthetic of the historic building.
