Five Hilton Worldwide properties in Egypt recognized at Regional Awards

Hilton takes top number of awards at the 2013 MENA Travel Awards in Dubai.

CAIRO, EGYPT – Hilton Worldwide hotels in Egypt enjoyed a night of celebration at the MENA Travel Awards 2013 after five hotels picked up leading honours at the prestigious gala event, attended by leading industry dignitaries including guest of honour: Mr. Hisham Zaazou, Egyptian Minister of Tourism.

Hilton Worldwide led the way as the only hospitality company to receive five awards in four different categories for its Egypt hotels, including:

  • Best Conference/Convention Hotel
  • Best 5 Star Leisure Hotel
  • Best 4 Star Business/Corporate Hotel
  • Best Price Value Hotel

Christian Muhr, vice president of operations, Hilton Worldwide, Egypt & Levant commented on receiving the awards saying: “I am delighted we received multiple honours at such a prestigious event. These awards cover a wide range of our operations from conference and convention to luxury and leisure and they clearly demonstrate the breadth, scale and quality standards for which we are noted.” The awards were presented in the following categories; Best Conference/Convention Hotel to Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza, Best 5 Star Leisure Hotel to both Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa and Hilton Sharm Dreams, Best 4 Star Business/Corporate Hotel to Hilton Cairo Zamalek Residences, and Best Price Value Hotel to Hilton Hurghada Resort.

Further two awards were also presented to the company in the Middle East including Best New Five Star Hotel for Hilton Doha and Best Conference/Convention Centre for Hilton Abu Dhabi. The annual MENA Travel Awards promote excellence in Middle East hospitality by recognizing and rewarding strong performances and superior services in the region.
