Recent research shows that all-inclusive holidays save travellers money

Research carried out by A1 Travel, one of the UK's leading travel agencies, shows that a family of 4 can save up to £1200 by booking an all-inclusive summer holiday for 2015. The statistics show that customers are waking up to the fact all-inclusive deals offer value for money.

UNITED KINGDOM – On average an all inclusive holiday costs 40% more than a non-inclusive holiday does. However, once the cost of meals and drinks is factored in the all-inclusive holiday works out far cheaper overall. This means that families who book all-inclusive deals are normally financially better off.

The fact that most all-inclusive deals also include entertainment makes these deals even better value for money. Families end up spending a lot on extras like kid’s club or taking the children on day trips to keep them occupied.

As an example, when A1 Travel compared the cost of two holiday options for Mallorca and Rhodes they determined that a family of 4 who booked an all inclusive deal would save £1200. Both of the holidays were 2-week holidays and they were both for the summer months.

One of the biggest expenses for British holidaymakers is drink. With some European hotels charging 7 euros for a beer and around 5 euros for soft drinks the bar tab soon mounts up for a family. The high cost of hotel drinks often drives holidaymakers to go to the beach instead where the cost of drinks are slightly lower, but most people do not end up saving as much as they hope. They end up paying for transport and extras like beach toys and entertainment for the kids. At an all-inclusive hotel entertainment is laid on and the pool is often much nicer and safer than the beach.

The statistics show that customers are waking up to the fact all-inclusive deals offer value for money. Over the last 12 months, A1 Travel has seen demand for all-inclusive bookings rise. People appreciate not coming home to a large credit card bill and the fact that paying up front for a holiday saves them a lot of money in the end.

The favourite all-inclusive destinations for A1 Travel customers are Turkey, Egypt & Greece. Nick Lima the Marketing Manager at A1Travel said: “Many hotels especially in Turkey & Greece are now changing to the all inclusive model, so now there are plenty of options depending on the standard and the facilities the customer is after. These days an all inclusive holiday doesn’t have to cost the earth and with A1 Travel if you book early you can secure your holiday for just £35pp and pay it off in instalments with no interest charges.”

The A1 Travel team regularly compares deals. Doing so ensures that they can give their customers the best advice, and make sure that they get the holiday they want at the best price possible.
