Hitit granted NDC Level 4 by IATA

Hitit, one of the Top 5 PSS providers in aviation and travel IT systems, has been granted an NDC Level 4 by International Air Transport Association (IATA).

ISTANBUL – Effective May 2019, Hitit has been granted an NDC Level 4 status under the NDC certification program. NDC Level 4 is currently the highest level for IT providers for the distribution of NDC capabilities. Hitit has forecast that it will process 65 million passengers through its systems by the end of the 2019.

Hitit, one of the Top 5 PSS providers in aviation and travel IT systems, has been granted an NDC Level 4 by International Air Transport Association (IATA). New Distribution Capability (NDC) is an XML-based data standard that enables the travel industry, from airlines to travel retailers, to enhance travel content, distribution, and merchandizing. Hitit has been an NDC Deployment Partner since 2016 and has broad experience with NDC development and implementation.

“The global travel industry is undergoing a fundamental change in how travel is sold, and travellers are served. Personalization, rich and aggregated content as well as industry collaboration are the keys for the future of airline distribution”, said Nevra Onursal Karaagac, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Hitit Computer Services. “Hitit is delighted to offer its partners the latest technology to aggregate, distribute, sell air fares and earn ancillary revenue, through NDC”, Mrs Onursal Karaagac added. By accessing rich content from various sources travel sellers will benefit from NDC through personalizing the services to their customers.

“By achieving Level 4 NDC Capable status as an IT provider, Hitit joins other industry leaders supporting efforts to enable full, rich content and product differentiation in the travel agent channel, while supporting servicing functionalities”, said Yanik Hoyles, Director Industry Distribution Programs, IATA.

IATA provides the only official industry certification program in support of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard, the NDC Certification Program. On 6 May 2019 under the NDC Certification Program, Hitit was granted NDC Level 4 status for its NDC-based solution Crane NDC. This status recognizes that Crane NDC supports deployments using Full Offer and Order Management messages, whose schemes are compliant with the standard NDC message scheme version 17.2.
