AND ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILL. – eGate Solutions, a leading provider of passenger service planning and fulfillment solutions for the airline and railway industries, announced plans to accelerate product innovation, development and delivery, while continuing to drive high customer satisfaction and loyalty. Under the leadership of recently appointed President and Managing Director Simon de Montfort Walker, eGate Solutions is developing a fully integrated solution with new and enhanced features and functionality that will be delivered in scheduled releases during the next 18 months.

Further, the company plans to rollout improved reporting and business intelligence (BI) analytics. These sophisticated reports and analytics will enable airlines and railways to use the rich level of data available in their systems to improve financial reporting and audits, demand management and resourcing. eGate Solutions also plans to explore new platforms and devices as the company moves toward a vendor agnostic approach.

To support the end-to-end offering, eGate Solutions has re-structured its product teams to create a more integrated approach to research and development. The results include a solution roadmap that advances the features and capabilities of the full suite and furthers inter-operability between services. In the last six months, eGate Solutions has released several major upgrades along the roadmap, including the launch of virtual containers for galley planning and onboard capabilities for smart devices.
Customer demand for the products continues to be strong, with more than eight implementations in the past 18 months and more on order. To support the growth, eGate Solutions has established a dedicated service team and implemented a formal partner program focused on key strategic, technical and reseller alliances.
Walker joined eGate Solutions in February 2013 as President and Managing Director to accelerate the company’s product innovation and delivery. Prior to joining the company, Walker was the Executive Vice President of Operations for Blue Cod Technologies, a provider of Managed Insurance Services for the property and casualty industry. There he led the successful restructuring of the company’s business strategy and played a major role in establishing long-range planning and alliance programs. Prior to Blue Cod, Walker held key leadership roles at other technology-based firms and led operational turnaround efforts in the airline industry as a management consultant with Sapient Corp.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
