20 per cent rise in bookings to Vienna

Holiday home expert reports a 20 per cent rise in bookings to Europe’s cake capital, since it was voted the world’s best city. The land of Mozart, Maria Von Trapp and Marie Antoinette has seen a rise in popularity in recent years but it is its capital where they all eat cake which is proving the biggest hit as a holiday destination.

Earlier this year Vienna was voted the city with the best quality of life. Since then – according to – bookings have risen by 20 per cent.

The rise brings the Austrian city into’s top five most popular cities in Europe for holiday home rentals, alongside Rome, Berlin, Barcelona and Florence.
