Air Malta to showcase new livery at the Malta International Airshow 2012

Air Malta will be showcasing its new aircraft livery at this year’s Malta International Airshow.

After an absence of more than 10 years from the local airshow, this year, Air Malta will be taking an active part with an Airbus A320 in the airline’s new colours. This was announced today by Air Malta’s Chief Executive, Peter Davies, during a press conference held to launch this year’s edition.

The Airbus with registration 9H-AEN will be kick-starting this year’s edition with a flypass display at 1330hrs next Saturday 29th September. Air Malta Flight KM 070, will be flying direct just after having undergone repainted in the new livery.

The flight number was chosen to celebrate the 70th anniversary since the award of the George Cross to Malta that is being commemorated this year.

The aircraft will then be on static display during the two days of the show. Air Malta will also have a stand at this year’s fair that will feature limited edition merchandising material.

The Malta International Airshow, now in its 20th edition, will be held on the 29/30th September at Malta International Airport.
