Through the new collaboration, the organizations will focus on initiatives that advance green growth utilizing innovativenewframeworks and tools for sustainable destination management. Additionally, the collaboration will build on Sustainable Travel International’s destination management solutions that protect the environment, senseofplace, and contribute to localized economic development, and GET’s expertise in green growth and investmentstrategies.

They will also extend this collaboration to their network organizations – the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP), co-founded by GET, and the Sustainable Destination Leadership Network (SDLN), convened by Sustainable Travel International. The two networks will partner on an annual Sustainable Destinations World Forum & Green Growth Investment Summit.

“The Sustainable Destination Leadership Network is all about collaboration, helping destinations to tackle their most salient challenges and embed sustainability into their policies, strategies, day-to-day management, and marketing,” said Brian Mullis, CEO and Founder of Sustainable Travel International. “Our partnership will help us to strengthen the network’s benefits and leverage GET’s expertise in green growth and investment, enabling us to better support our destination manager and practitioner partners in achieving their goals.”

”We are delighted to partner with Sustainable Travel International to help destinations move down the Green Growth path,” added Professor Geoffrey Lipman, Chief Disruption Architect at GET. “Transformation is a multi-decade, complex process that will only be achieved with like-minded partners delivering innovative value-added services.
