TREKEA S.A.S announces a €1.3M (1.7M$) series A financing from Geofinance S.A. and the release of Livetrekker, the next generation software platform to record, share and manage a traveler's digital memories.
PARIS – Trekea SAS announced a €1.3 M Series A financing from Geofinance S.A. The company markets “LiveTrekker“, a leading platform for travelers to record, share, relive, and manage their journeys with unparalleled detail.
Trekea co-founder, Jean-Marc DeBaud will also serve as the company’s President. “We’re excited to announce today here at LeWeb 2012 our initial Series A funding and the launch of LiveTrekker, our first product.” said Jean-Marc DeBaud.
LiveTrekker combines innovative mobile App, Cloud and Web technology that lets a traveler record in an unparalleled level of detail his/her surroundings and events of interest while traveling, allowing them to share it live as it’s happening with friends, or relive their journeys in full context, and seamlessly fine tune or augment a journey’s content.
“Our vision is to help the traveler seamlessly record as much as possible the key details that make up the journey and as less intrusively to him/her as possible. We render the journeys then in such a manner as to immerse the viewer deeply in the context of the journey, hence procuring a unique viewing experience that is qualitatively different from what is currently available” adds Jean-Marc DeBaud.
