trivago partners with TrustYou to power its review summaries

TrustYou meta-reviews help travelers decipher millions of reviews to quickly make the right booking decision.
MUNICH and DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – trivago has integrated TrustYou Meta-Reviews into its hotel search, bringing travelers trusted review information in a succinct format so that travelers can easily find their ideal hotel. The visual summary of travel reviews available in more than 30 languages shows the big picture of each hotel based on verified worldwide reviews as well as on traveler segments, such as couples, families, and more.

trivago’s hotel search allows travelers to compare hotels from over 250 booking sites. By integrating TrustYou Meta-Reviews, Trivago:
– Emphasizes essential sentiment categories such as location, food, room, wifi, vibe, pool, value for money and many more
– Gives travelers short descriptions based on travel reviews, such as “Guests say this hotel “is ideal for families.”
– Displays verified review summaries in more than 30 languages

Travelers’ opinions are the top influencer of booking decisions. It is essential for the travel industry to display trusted reviews in a way that is quick and easy for travelers to understand without the need to read hundreds of reviews themselves. The way trivago has opted to use our Meta-Reviews™ API is an ideal example of how to do this,” says Benjamin Jost, CEO and Co-Founder of TrustYou.

We want that every user on trivago is able to search and find the hotel, which fits best into their ideal travel experience. By bringing TrustYou reviews onboard, we are able to improve the search experience even more, by helping travelers to decipher what was once a complex amount of information in seconds,” says trivago Spokesperson, Sydney Burdick.
