Τhe most expensive destinations in the USA

Visitors to Nantucket will have to spend, on average, $301 per night for the most affordable double room, making the small Massachusetts island clearly the continent's most expensive summer destination.

NANTUCKET, Mass. – Nantucket, the idyllic island located about 30 miles south of Cape Cod, is North America’s most expensive destination in terms of its lodging cost. That’s the finding of a new survey from CheapHotels.org, which compared hotel rates for all destinations in the USA and Canada this summer.

The rankings were determined based on the price travelers will have to pay for the cheapest available double room from August 1–31. Therefore, they represent the minimum price guests will have to spend to stay at each specific destination. Only those hotels and inns with a positive average client rating and only those located close to the beach/city center have been considered.
