New app brings the world of aviation to your fingertips

The app, available on all Apple and Android devices, was developed by leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service. It features a range of commercial aircraft currently in service, including: helicopters, piston aircraft, turboprops, private jets, commercial airliners and cargo aircraft.

This month has seen the launch of a new free aircraft guide smartphone and tablet app, that features detailed information on more than 200 different aircraft types.

The app, available on all Apple and Android devices, was developed by leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service. It features a range of commercial aircraft currently in service, including: helicopters, piston aircraft, turboprops, private jets, commercial airliners and cargo aircraft.

Justin Bowman, CEO of Air Charter Service, commented: “We have been developing this app for a long time and are very happy to be able to announce its launch. It has taken our years of experience to be able to collate all the information contained within it.”

The app contains photos and detailed layouts of the interior of each aircraft, including seating plans and cargo hold dimensions. It also allows people to request a charter on any of the aircraft with one click.

The app is the second in the company’s portfolio, following on from their ‘Jet Prices’ application that was launched early last year, which is available on all Apple and Android devices, as well as BlackBerry.

Bowman concluded: “We are hoping that anyone looking to charter an aircraft will find this a useful tool whilst on the move. Being aviation enthusiasts ourselves, we’ve also made it available to the wider aviation community and we hope that they find it as interesting to browse as we have putting it together.”
