This boutique hotel has 59 rooms in a newly constructed building on the banks of the Douro River, just steps from the Dom Luis I Bridge. It joins the three others the chain already operates in Porto: Eurostars Das Artes, Eurostars Oporto and Eurostars Heroismo.
BARCELONA – The Eurostars Hotels chain has just opened its fourth establishment in the city of Porto: Eurostars Porto Douro 4*, a boutique hotel with 59 rooms and a markedly Portuguese accent in a privileged location overlooking the Douro River and Dom Luis I Bridge. Eurostars Porto Douro is the chain’s fourth hotel in Porto, joining Eurostars Heroismo 4* which opened this past January, Eurostars Oporto 4* and Eurostars Das Artes 4*. In addition to these four hotels, Eurostars Hotel Company, the hotel division of Grupo Hotusa, also operates the Exe Penafiel Park Hotel & Spa 4*.
Located in a building exhibiting classical architecture and traditional construction methods using typical materials from the region, Eurostars Porto Douro 4* has 59 rooms, bar, car park and three meeting halls for small professional events. Plus, construction is scheduled to finish in the coming months on 46 apartments in an adjoining building.
In the words of President of Grupo Hotusa Amancio Lopez Seijas, “Eurostars Porto Douro 4* expands our presence in a city to which we have been firmly committed for the past 10 years. And for good reason, it was the first destination in Portugal to be home to an establishment from our hotel division.”
The presence of the Eurostars Hotel Company in Portugal will continue expanding over the coming months with several projects the company has been working on. The first of these is a five-star museum hotel with 89 rooms in the historical Palacio dos Condes de Coculim, in Lisbon, now in the final phase of the rehabilitation process. It is located just off Campo das Cebolas, on Cais de Santarem, and will join the Eurostars Hotels chain. The company is also working on a project for a 4-star hotel with 101 rooms in Cascais, which will join the Exe Hotels chain.
With the new Eurostars Porto Douro 4*, the Grupo Hotusa hotel division now manages 9 establishments in Portugal, 7 in the Eurostars Hotels chain and two others in the Exe Hotels chain: Eurostars Das Letras 5* and Exe Lisboa Parque 4* (Lisbon); Eurostars Rio Douro Hotel And Spa 4* (Castelo de Paiva), Eurostars Oasis Plaza 4* (Figueira da Foz), Eurostars Das Artes 4*, Eurostars Oporto 4*, Eurostars Heroismo 4* and Exe Penafiel Park Hotel & Spa 4* (Porto-Penafiel).
