Air Serbia will be operating flights to Naples twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Also, the national airline will be operating flights to Marseille, and Florence twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, year-round.

On 19 May, with flight JU552 at 12:40 pm Air Serbia commenced its new Belgrade-Naples service. The Serbian national airline will be operating flights to the main port city in southern Italy twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

The inaugural flight was officially welcomed at the Naples International Airport, more commonly known as “Capodichino”, located only six kilometers northeast of Naples city center.

“Italy rightfully bears the epithet of one of the most beautiful countries in the world, visited by millions of tourists every year and epitomizing the Italian lifestyle, language, music, rich cultural and artistic heritage, fashion and, of course, food. It is equally attractive to tourists during all four seasons and always has something to offer, from the Dolomites and Alps in the north, through the unreal landscapes of the central part of the country to the most beautiful
beaches in the south. The number of destinations to which our company flies in that Mediterranean country is constantly increasing. The newest destination in our network is Naples, the third largest city in Italy. Thanks to the direct and scheduled route to the “capital of the best pizza in the world”, the Amalfi coast, Capri and Vesuvius have never been closer,” said Bojan Aranđelović, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling Air Serbia. “In addition to direct flights on Mondays and Fridays, our passengers will be able to reach Naples via Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, combining our scheduled flights to the Italian capital with Trenitalia’s direct high-speed trains running from Rome's airport to Napoli Centrale main train station.”

Naples is a city of rich history, amazing architecture and cultural heritage. Among its landmarks are Castel dell’Ovo and Nuovo castles, the Catholic neoclassical basilica of San Francesco di Paola, Duomo Cathedral, and Palazzo Reale, a royal palace. Fans of history will be thrilled to visit the ancient city of Pompeii and the Herculaneum archaeological site. Even
though Naples is believed to be the birthplace of pizza, do not miss out on the exceptional seafood, as well as delicious fruit and vegetables grown on volcanic soil around Mount Vesuvius.

Air Serbia connects Belgrade with Marseille and Florence

Also, with flights JU296 and JU568, Air Serbia launched a direct service between Belgrade and Marseille, as well as between the Serbian capital and Florence. The national airline will be operating flights to new destinations in France and Italy twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, year-round.

The inaugural flights were officially welcomed at Marseille Provence Airport and Peretola Aeroporto di Firenze.

“Flights to France and Italy are traditionally in high demand. Today we launched two new destinations in those countries. We are introducing scheduled flights to Marseille and Florence, allowing passengers to get to know these cities and their rich cultural and other content throughout the year,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

Marseille is the second largest city in France. Thanks to its 2,600 years of history, it has a rich and diverse cultural heritage. Get to know Marseille by making a tour from the Panier district to the small, pristine village of Goudes, to the Mucem do Vieille Charité building, from Notre-Dame de la Garde to the awesome Cité le Corbusier. Once you tire of walking and touring this remarkable city, you can visit one of the numerous city beaches, and enjoy the Mediterranean climate and the view of the turquoise sea.

Florence is located in the very heart of Italy and is surrounded by picturesque hills covered by vineyards. It is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. The panorama of Florence is dominated by the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Tourists eagerly visit the gem of gothic architecture, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Palazzo Vecchio town hall, and the famous Piazza della Signoria square. Ponte Vecchio Bridge offers a fantastic view of the Arno River.

The national airline offers good connections from Marseille, via Belgrade, to other destinations in its network such as Thessaloniki, Athens, Istanbul, Bucharest, Sofia, Tirana, Skopje, Sarajevo, Rome, Malta, Split, Dubrovnik, Tivat, Podgorica, Vienna, Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Florence, Catania, Naples, Palermo and Larnaca.
