Air Tahiti Nui consolidates flights to Tahiti

Air Tahiti Nui, the national carrier for Tahiti & Her Islands has announced that it will consolidate flights to Tahiti via its Paris hub for the peak 2009 Summer season. From June to September 2009, Air Tahiti Nui will operate up to seven flights per week from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Faa’a International Airport in Tahiti’s capital, Papeete, via Los Angeles.

Following a review of the current services and economic conditions, the decision was taken to streamline the flights concentrating on the most popular route to Tahiti & Her Islands.

Connections with a single e-ticket from London Heathrow and Manchester Airports to and from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport are now available via the airline’s pro rata agreement with Air France. Existing fares from London Heathrow via Los Angeles remain the same.

Air Tahiti Nui works closely with partners such as the Tahiti Tourist Board on UK promotional activity, including agent familiarisation trips and supporting staff training.

Jean-Marc Hastings, General Manager for Europe for Air Tahiti Nui explains: “Our work with key partners has always proved very beneficial to us and this will continue throughout 2009. Our decision to consolidate flights will further benefit our service so that we can keep providing a second to none service for all our customers. Tahiti is a dream destination for honeymooners and visitors seeking destination perfection and we ensure that the Polynesian hospitality starts the moment you board an Air Tahiti Nui plane."

Air Tahiti Nui carries approximately 500,000 passengers per annum.
