With only three months left of 2006, Banyan Tree Group has to date garnered close to 50 awards and accolades, a bumper sweep that surpasses the Group’s tally in 2005. The awards are testimony to Banyan Tree’s continued diligence in innovation and service standards even as the Group plans to grow beyond the shores of Asia according to the Group`s Executive.
The most recent wins are at the coveted Conde Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Travel Awards, in which readers voted in open categories for the best that the travel world has to offer. Banyan Tree Spa Bangkok emerged as the Best Overseas Hotel Spa, while Banyan Tree Phuket captured readers’ hearts in fourth position of Overseas Leisure Hotels in the Asia & the Indian Subcontinent category.
Banyan Tree Phuket triumphed yet again at the Travel+Leisure 2006 World’s Best Awards where it was ranked 33 in the Top 100 of the World category, as well as 11th place in the Top 50 Hotels in Asia category. Banyan Tree Holdings, based in Singapore, netted its fair share of regional wins as it was awarded 73rd position as Singapore Top 100 International Company by Singapore International 100.
Banyan Tree Holdings was also recognised in the categories Singapore 1000: Highest Net Profit and 50 Fastest Growing Companies at the 2006 Singapore 1000/SME 500 Awards.
Banyan Tree Spa Ringha continued to excite the senses when it was awarded a Best Spa Honourable Mention at the T+L Design Awards 2006, presented by Travel+Leisure. This award paid tribute to Banyan Tree’s in-house architect and design division, which evolved the unique conservation technique of constructing Banyan Tree Ringha.
