Hotel Indigo launches property in Costa Rica

The 100-room Hotel Indigo in Santa Ana in San Jose, Costa Rica, is the first property of the brand in Central America. Owned by Prime Holding under a licence agreement with IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), Hotel Indigo San Jose Forum has its rooms equipped with 37-inch flat screen TV, iPod/MP3 alarm clock radio, spa-inspired showers with complimentary Aveda bath products plus complimentary high-speed Internet access in guest rooms and public spaces. Facilities include access to meeting facilities and a 24-hour business centre; a sauna and spa; an outdoor swimming pool and well-equipped fitness studio. Dining options include the Golden Bean Restaurant, Phi Bar & Lounge and Cafe Britt.

According to Luis Fernandez, president, Prime Holding, "We believe the Hotel Indigo model strikes a great balance by providing guests the refreshing design and intimate service synonymous with a boutique along with the consistency, reliability, and accessibility of a branded hotel. Hotel Indigo has been incredibly well-received in North America and we are confident that it will thrive in San Jose."

Alvaro Diago, area president, Latin America, IHG, stated, "IHG is very well represented in Costa Rica and the opening of Hotel Indigo further strengthens our position as the country’s leading international hotel company. We are very proud to be opening the first Hotel Indigo in the region with such a respected franchise partner, Prime Holding."
