Jens Wunderlich

With over 25 years of AV knowledge and top-level experience, Jens joins the team as a dedicated Global Product Manager for Philips LED displays, tasked with identifying new opportunities for projects around the world, with hopsitality (including hotels) among key focus areas.

AMSTERDAM – PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips professional displays and complementary solutions, is delighted to announce the appointment of highly experienced LED product specialist, Jens Wunderlich, as the company’s new Global Product Manager LED displays.

Based in Berlin, but with a global remit, Jens will spearhead the next phase of the company’s global growth strategy and ambitions for its advanced and evolving portfolio of highly versatile, low-energy, direct view LED displays, with hospitality (including hotels) a major market focus for PPDS.

With a professional career in AV spanning over 25 years, including the past decade devoted exclusively to LED displays, Jens brings extensive product knowledge and project management experience to PPDS, having worked with some of the world’s leading and most recognised companies. His specialist areas include, but are not limited to, LED installations for projects in driving simulation, TV and film (studio production/broadcast), LED rental applications, public spaces (airports and LED outdoor venues), and more.

Reporting to Jeroen Brants, who has global responsibility for PPDS’ LED product portfolio, Jens will play an intrinsic role in developing and executing the company’s dvLED growth ambitions on a worldwide scale.

Jens will also work closely with PPDS’ elite Global Partner Alliance (GPA) member networks, together with its dedicated team of International Key Account Directors to help facilitate fast, seamless, consistent and cost-effective project completions of any size or scale anywhere on the planet.

Seizing opportunities

Discussing the role, Jens, a certified quality management engineer and project manager, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting and hugely opportunistic time for manufacturers to seize new opportunities with LED displays, in almost any indoor and outdoor market. PPDS has continued to demonstrate its strengths in developing innovative and truly world-leading direct view LED solutions, making a difference for businesses around the globe.

“The opportunity to join this ambitious company and play a part in its journey was a no-brainer for me – particularly at a time when LED adoption has never been greater.”

According to market forecasts, the LED market is set to reach more than $23 Billion by 2030, with a CAGR of nearly 7.5 per cent. With a broadening range of dedicated direct view LED solutions, including those designed, and tailorable to support a widening range of dedicated market verticals, PPDS is now perfectly positioned to seize new growth opportunities, in which Jens will play a crucial role.

Robert Hsu, VP Global Product Strategy, added: “PPDS leads from the front when it comes to innovation, something that can be seen in all our products, perhaps none more so than in our growing range of dvLED solutions. Since entering the LED market, our solutions have become synonymous with quality, innovation and commercial appeal, with PPDS now firmly part of the conversation, no matter how big, small, or creative the project might be.”

Jeroen Brants concluded: “With the addition of Jens, our team has never been stronger, bringing new opportunities to our business and our partners, and delivering added value to customers. Together, we wish him every success in his new role and welcome him to the PPDS family.”
