Amadeus announces the availability of Interjet’s full content on its reservation system

Through a groundbreaking agreement in the sector, Amadeus is the first global distribution system to integrate Interjet’s full content in its system.

MIAMI – Interjet, a Mexican high-efficiency airline offering high-quality services and accessible prices, and Amadeus, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry, announced that the full content of domestic and international flights as well as fares published by the airline are now available for booking in all Amadeus points of sale in the US.

Travel agents and corporate customers using the Amadeus system can access this information directly with total accuracy as to the availability of the carrier’s flights and seats, while also increasing global awareness of the Interjet brand in markets where it has had a minor presence until now.

Interjet’s full range of content will enable unique advantages for travel agents and their clients, providing an easier and more integrated travel experience. This full content availability will bring important benefits to travel agents:

Search:

  • All available fares offered by Interjet
  • Automatic customer profiles and preferences
  • Total price, including taxes and rights
  • Comparison of prices with other airlines in the same platform

Book:

  • Automatic booking process
  • Same booking process for Interjet, as any other full service carrier
  • A unique passenger name record (PNR) generated with the traveler profile, and a confirmation e-mail is sent to the traveler

Change:

  • Thanks to the permanent connection between Amadeus and the airline in real time, all changes can be made through Amadeus Selling Platform.
  • The systems provides automatic invoicing, itinerary update, and visualization in CheckmyTrip, Amadeus’ online itinerary tool

Back office:

  • Real time data and reports
  • Integration with other back office systems

“Thanks to our agreement with Amadeus, travel agencies can offer to their clients a full range of fares which will enable them to fully customize their clients’ travel experience. American Airlines, Iberia and LATAM Airlines Group, will make possible the offering of both national and international destinations. This means that it will be easier and more attractive than ever for travel agencies to book on Interjet through Amadeus,” said Jose Luis Garza, General Director of Interjet.

Interjet is one of more than 70 low-cost airlines that distribute their products through the Amadeus system. Amadeus’ travel agency network covers 195 countries throughout the world.
