Delta Vacations grows in Italy with Naples, Amalfi Coast and Pisa

In addition to Naples/Amalfi Coast and Pisa, Delta Vacations also offers vacation packages in Venice, Milan, Florence and Rome.
ATLANTA – Delta Vacations, a leading U.S. provider of world-class, tailored vacation packages, in partnership with Alitalia Vacations, announced that it is expanding its European footprint and growing its luxury portfolio with new vacation packages for two of Italy’s most popular leisure destinations.

Delta Vacations and Alitalia Vacations are now offering travel professionals and their clients vacation packages in Naples and along the Amalfi Coast; and in Pisa, the gateway to Tuscany.

We are always working to provide the products and services our travel partners need to better serve their clients,” said MLT Vacations President John Caldwell. “These new destinations, along with the added deluxe and luxury hotels, give our partners more choices, more flexibility and more opportunity to add value when planning their clients’ vacations in Italy.”

These additions support Delta Vacations continuing initiative to expand and enhance its European product portfolio for its customers. Italy is one of Delta Vacations top-selling European destinations with strong double-digit growth year-over-year in 2013.

Delta Vacations has initially added 17 properties, including a number of luxury and boutique hotels, to support bookings in Naples and in the Amalfi Coast towns of Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento and the Island of Capri. Three four-star hotels have been added in Pisa.

In Amalfi, the four-star Hotel Bussola is located near the Duomo and features a roof garden and Neapolitan-inspired restaurant. Hotel Le Agavi in Positano is rated with five stars and features its own mountainside cable car that connects the hotel to a private beach.

For Sorrento, Delta Vacations is offering the five-star Grand Hotel La Favorita and Grand Hotel Ambasciatori, rated with four stars. Grand Hotel La Favorita features elegant, neoclassical design and views of the Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the Sorrentine Peninsula. Perched on a cliff, Grand Hotel Ambasciatori offers luxurious suites with balcony-views of the sea and access to its own private beach.

Also perched atop a cliff, the five-star Hotel Caesar Augustus Anacapri on the Island of Capri was once a private residence. The property is located near the Piazza San Nicola and features terraced-views of the Mediterranean Sea.

In Pisa, which offers convenient access to Florence, Delta Vacations is offering travel professionals and their clients accommodations at AC Hotel Pisa, Renaissance Tuscany II Ciocco Resort and Spa, and Hotel Relais dell’Orologio. All are rated as four-star properties.

AC Hotel Pisa features a modern, Avant-garde design and is located near the Piazza dei Miracoli and the world-renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. Located in the Tuscan countryside, Renaissance Tuscany II Ciocco Resort & Spa offers views of the Serchio Valley, as well as wellness center and activities including horseback riding. Hotel Relais dell’Orologio has 25 premium rooms and suites

Delta Air Lines recently announced that it has resumed its summer seasonal flights between Pisa, the gateway to the Tuscany region, and New York’s JFK International Airport effective June 7, marking the only nonstop service between these cities. The flight will operate four times a week until August 31, 2014, in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partner Alitalia.

In addition to Naples/Amalfi Coast and Pisa, Delta Vacations also offers vacation packages in Venice, Milan, Florence and Rome. In May, Delta Vacations added 10 four and five-star hotels in Florence, Rome and Venice.

In cooperation with Delta Air Lines, Delta Vacations brings its travel consultant partners and their clients superior levels of service, the lowest airfares on Delta, more ways to earn award travel, and a lowest price guarantee for their vacation packages.
