Domodedovo Airport held the Travel Routes Spring-Summer 2014 Forum

For 10 years, Moscow Domodedovo Airport provides a platform for expanding the route network, acting as an initiator and organizer of the Travel Routed Forum, which is held twice a year in between navigational seasons.

Travel Routes Spring-Summer 2014 Forum was traditionally held during the period of preparation for the upcoming navigational season. This time representatives of airlines and tour operators met at Auction House of the Russian Federation.

For 10 years, Moscow Domodedovo Airport provides a platform for expanding the route network, acting as an initiator and organizer of the Travel Routed Forum, which is held twice a year in between navigational seasons. So the Domodedovo partner companies are able to exchange relevant information with tour operators on various air routes. The scope of the event includes a number of meetings which result in subsequent launch of new destinations and improvement of existing ones.

“The information on the outlook for the upcoming navigational season announced at the forum allows us to optimize plans for summer air operations. Moreover, the meetings held during the event give tour operators a chance to find new partners in order to guarantee an interesting and relaxing vacation, which, of course, starts with a flight,” said Margarita Davlikanova, Advisor of the General Director of Natalie Tours.

More than fifty aviation and tourism companies took part in the Travel Routes Spring-Summer 2014 Forum. During the forum, not only they held negotiations, but also had a unique opportunity to learn about new information technologies in the travel industry firsthand.

A new product not only for the Russian, but also for international air transportation market – online sale of tickets for charter flights – became one of the main topics discussed at the Forum. Aleksander Sizintsev, CEO of Biletix Online Travel Agency, told about the service which currently is one-of-a-kind in Russia. Travelers using the resources of the project have access to the unique service and can use it for easy traveling increasing economic efficiency of tour operators and airlines.

Mobile future of the travel industry was presented at the Travel Routes Spring-Summer 2014 Forum by Igor Mitropolskiy, representative of IBM Company. Innovative technologies offering an opportunity to make comfortable flights increase the level of services in the airline industry which contributes to development of the market and is of interest for the participants.

For 10 years, the Travel Routes Forum has proved to be an effective international business platform for negotiations, establishment and development of contacts among tourist market professionals of Russia, near/far-abroad countries.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest air hub in Russia, and in 2012, its total passenger traffic amounted 28.2 million people.
