Don't miss the 25th edition of EIBTM

Be part of the world’s largest Global Hub for the meetings industry at the EIBTM opening today.

BARCELONA – EIBTM, the global hub for the meetings, incentives and business travel industry is set to welcome over 15,200 meetings professionals to Barcelona from 27th – 29th November for three days of business, education and networking.

The show will celebrate 25 years at the forefront of the industry and showcase over 3,100 international organisations, representing over 7,000 products and services including venues, hotels, destinations, technology, business travel and event service providers to Hosted Buyers, Trade Visitors and media attending.

Trade Visitor registration for EIBTM 2012 was open online. Benefits of pre-registering include: Fast track entry saving you valuable time queuing, flexibility to arrange your own schedule, discounted travel and accommodation and pre-show information and updates allowing you to effectively plan your visit.

Trade Visitors who pre-registered for EIBTM also be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a trip for two to Istanbul with Turkish Airline flights and a three night stay at the 5 star Wow Hotel & Convention Centre as well as 2 city tours courtest of Dekon DMC and Tekser Tourism.

EIBTM will once again welcome back the popular Future Events Experience where attendees will have the opportunity to interact and learn about the latest innovations in technology within the industry such as virtual projection, augmented reality and much more.

Attendees of EIBTM 25 will have the option to attend over 110 tailored sessions as part of this year’s education programme including industry trends, technology, sustainability and business travel education streams, as well as dedicated sessions tailored for the local Spanish market. The results of the EIBTM Trends Watch will also be released onsite which will provide an insight into the latest trends on which to base future business strategies. Other new additions to EIBTM this year include the EIBTM Forum, which will be taking place the day before EIBTM on Monday 26th November at Fira Montjuic.  This networking and education-led event will welcome Barbara Kellerman, a lecturer at Harvard University, as a keynote speaker presenting on “The End of Leadership”. The EIBTM Forum is open to all and is free to attend.

Throughout the three days of the show, there will be a range of networking events and opportunities for attendees of EIBTM.  This year’s Welcome Reception will be taking place at Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya where attendees will be able to enjoy views over Barcelona. EIBTM’s Club Night will be taking place at one of Barcelona’s hottest night spots, Opium Mar, where attendees are encouraged to wear something silver as part of EIBTM’s 25th birthday celebrations. EIBTM and their official DMC, Pacific World have collaborated with local Barcelona businesses to provide discounts for EIBTM attendees as part of EIBTM’s 25th Birthday celebrations.    Through scanning the QR codes provided in the EIBTM pocket book onsite, delegates will be able to claim a free Desigual bag as well as a range of discounts at local restaurants in Barcelona.
