Lime Venue Portfolio gains in BDRC benchmark report

Fruitful returns for Lime Venue Portfolio

Lime Venue Portfolio, the UK’s premier collection of unique venues, has continued to improve its sales enquiry handling standards, according to BDRC‘s latest results.

BDRC’s rigorous benchmark report, used by Europe’s leading chains and independent meeting and event venues, highlights that Lime Venue Portfolio continues to make gains in the top quartile of the venues surveyed.

Achieving 87.9% for overall performance, the specialist portfolio had the second-highest monthly change, reflected by a growth of 4.8% month-on-month.

Offering the quality of service that is a top priority for purchasers of meetings and events, Lime Venue Portfolio also has much of the UK covered with its diversity of venues; from historic to modern, from capital to countryside.  High profile venues in the Lime Venue Portfolio include Twickenham Experience, Beaulieu, Ricoh Arena and the prestigious Brit Oval.

BDRC’s latest figures highlight Lime Venue Portfolio’s particular gains in ‘manner and approach’ and reinforce the steps that have been taken to create a simple-to-use, friendly and effective collection of venues.

Lime Venue Portfolio will shortly expand its offering into Ireland with the opening of Aviva Stadium. The stunning continuous curvilinear shaped architecture of the new venue has already created significant demand with recent conference wins including the Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technologies (CETIC) four-day event for over 600 delegates and The College of Anaesthetists of Ireland in May 2010.

Louise Amphlett, head of Lime Venue Portfolio, said: "We are actively enhancing the way that we do business so that decision makers of meetings, training and events look to us as first choice rather than becoming lost in the inevitable meeting melee provided by the global hotel chains. It’s a proven fact that the ROI on using a unique venue is better, helped by increased delegate numbers and more cost effective pricing."

Matt Costin, BDRC’s Director Hotels & Hospitality, said: "Our tracking report is the only one benchmarking the myriad of meeting and events offerings, which can range from hotel chains and individual properties to museums and privately owned training centres. It is very encouraging to see the results of Lime Venue Portfolio’s investment in service standards having a tangible impact on their ongoing performance."
