In the 3rd quarter of 2003 Virgin Express carried more than 740,000 passengers on its scheduled routes, an increase of 6.7%. The load factor of the scheduled flights was 85.5%. Year-to-date the number of passengers even rose with 8.9% from 1.8 million to almost 2 million passengers.



Passenger numbers on scheduled flights:


  • 3Q 2002: 694,265

  • 3Q 2003: 740,572

  • Change: +6.7%



  • 1st 9 months 2002: 1,798,139

  • 1st 9 months 2003: 1,958,023

  • Change: +8.9%


When one also takes into account the passengers carried on the non-scheduled flights (charter passengers), the total number of passengers for the 3rd quarter of 2003 amounts to 757,411. Over the first nine months total number of passengers has risen from 1,884,968 in 2002 to 1,987,433 in 2003.
