VisitEngland launches visitengland.org

Ever wondered how many visitors a year England welcomes? Or, how much the industry is worth? Or, what VisitEngland’s latest research is saying? The answers to these questions and many more can be found on visitengland.org, the national tourist board’s brand new website designed specifically for the industry.

The website has been completely redesigned to provide the industry with the most up to date research and statistics visitengland.org/insight-statistics/, a new media centre, visitengland.org/media/, with all the latest news, feature ideas, itinerary suggestions, images and video, as well as the latest in marketing opportunities, visitengland.org/marketing/, and updates on England’s national tourism strategy.

Specialist tools designed by VisitEngland to support business development in specific areas such as sustainability and accessibility are also easy to find on the website and can be used by any business wanting to improve in these important areas. New to the site is the inclusion of specific areas for partnership groups like the Partners for England forum and the English Tourism Intelligence Partnerships.

James Berresford, Chief Executive VisitEngland said “One of our priorities is to keep the industry up to speed with the latest trends and insights to assist them in improving performance and visitengland.org helps us to do that. Designed to be the first port of call, the website not only informs, but we hope, inspires the industry to try new things and to keep connected to us.”

The website is the first in a suite of communication tools to be launched by the tourist board with new industry newsletters and a CRM System (Customer Relationship Management) being put in place early the year.”
