Emaar Hospitality Group strengthens Lifestyle Dining portfolio with September opening of ‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera’. Contemporary brasserie serves steak and seafood with signature touch of UK’s renowned chef.

DUBAI, UAE – Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure business of Emaar Properties PJSC, is welcoming a brand-new restaurant concept to the Middle East with the opening in September of ‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera.’

Managed by Emaar Hospitality Group’s Lifestyle Dining division, the signature restaurant marks the regional debut of world-renowned chef Sean Connolly, who is a household name in the southern hemisphere and has won over legions of culinary enthusiasts around the world through his popular TV series telecast in 35 nations. It is the third operational outlet under the Lifestyle Dining division, and joins the league of At.mosphere, Burj Khalifa, and La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie in Vida Downtown.

‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera’ stands out for its location in Dubai Opera, the definitive international destination for performing arts and world-class entertainment productions, in Downtown Dubai. His eponymous outlet is underpinned by Sean Connolly’s trademark style of delivering exceptional culinary experiences in an ambience of camaraderie, informality and down-to-earth simplicity.

Assuring a product-driven experience supported by efficient friendly staff, who are passionate about delivering consistent personalised service, ‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera’ can seat 339 including 199 inside and 140 al fresco.

Elegantly designed in coastal brasserie style, the contemporary standalone restaurant in Dubai Opera serves steak and seafood, each dish a celebration of Connolly’s passion for cooking and highlighted by his 25 years of industry experience. The uncomplicated and produce-driven menu of the restaurant is complemented by a rooftop lounge serving a choice of beverages and opening to uninterrupted views of Burj Khalifa, the global icon.

Olivier Harnisch, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “It is indeed our honour to present Sean Connolly to the Middle East through his signature outlet under our Lifestyle Dining division. We are focused on bringing truly unique culinary choices that stand out for the brand identity, cuisine and location. Sean Connolly’s first outlet in the region has an exceptional location in Dubai Opera, the new cultural destination in the city that hosts leading shows and welcomes visitors from across the world. ‘Sean Connolly Dubai Opera’ will a must-visit venue for food lovers, patrons of Dubai Opera and tourists through its celebration of good taste in an unbeatable setting.”

Sean Connolly said: “Dubai was no doubt my first choice to mark the expansion of branded restaurants to the Middle East, and Dubai Opera with its iconic status served as the best fit. It is a pleasure to work with Emaar Hospitality Group as it respects the culinary values that I want to uphold, and the team offered all support to the opening of my first signature outlet here. My style is to keep the dishes simple and uncomplicated and to let my guests discover the joy of dining together. Consistent quality and personalised service will be the defining values of ‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera.”

UK-born Sean Connolly has won several top industry honours for his culinary style. Disarmingly simple, his culinary philosophy is to approach the art of cooking with respect and humility but with uncompromising attention to details. Food connoisseurs will relish the flavours he brings out with the range of steaks and seafood delicacies, and for the outlet’s patrons, every visit promises to be memorable with new flavours and choices. ‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera’ also focuses on being true to its milieu with a local understanding of the Emirati culinary culture, and integrating aspects that would bring innovative new flavours.

‘Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera’ is open for lunch and dinner from noon until late, serving lounge food menu, main menu and pre-theatre menu. Upholding the ‘less is more’ design ethos, the outlet will have controlled lighting, artisan cutlery and crockery. The menu is printed daily to keep with the availability of fresh produce.

Emaar Hospitality Group manages food and beverage venues across its hotel and leisure portfolio, and has expanded into the management of independent restaurant brands.
