A Wellness sanctuary in the heart of the Ría Celestún Biosphere Reserve.

ACAPULCO, MEXICO – Mundo Imperial Entertainment and Hospitality, leading management company in comprehensive hospitality and entertainment experiences in Mexico, announces the grand reopening of Xixim Mundo Imperial in December 2023. Nestled within the breathtaking Ría Celestún Biosphere Reserve, Xixim Mundo Imperial is poised to redefine the world of eco-tourism and wellness with its unique blend of luxury, sustainability, and self-discovery.

As a pioneer in ecotourism and health for 27 years, Xixim’s concept genuinely captivates the hearts of those seeking a deeper connection with themselves and the environment. The eco-hotel is not only a testament to sustainable hospitality but also a guide and support system for the well-being journey of its guests. Located 90 minutes from the Mérida airport and just 10 kilometers north of the charming town of Celestún, Xixim offers five kilometers of pristine white sand and tranquil emerald sea. Encompassing over 1,300 acres, Xixim has dedicated only one percent of its paradise to the hotel’s construction.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Xixim Mundo Imperial,” said Mauricio Ramirez, Commercial & Marketing Director at Mundo Imperial Entertainment & Hospitality. “Our commitment to preserving this ecosystem’s natural beauty while providing luxury and self-discovery experiences remains steadfast. Xixim is not just a destination; it’s a journey of self-knowledge and connection with nature, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”

The 32 suites at Xixim combine traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge eco-techniques, such as a solar capturing system, bioconstruction, and unparalleled water treatment, offering luxury and wellness in spacious accommodations with private terraces and jungle showers. The Master Suites boast bio-pools with mesmerizing sea views. Every suite at Xixim invites guests to immerse themselves in luxury, intimacy, and privacy, all while surrounded by the beauty of the jungle and the sea.

A concept exclusively created for Xixim, the hotel’s wellness concept seeks to promote self-knowledge and provide tools for a fuller daily life for its guests. Xixim offers two distinct wellness experiences to its guests, who can choose between self-directed experiences, allowing for personal exploration at your own pace in thoughtfully designed spaces, or experiences guided by the Xixim Wellness Team, known as “Facilitators.” These guided sessions offer expert insights and take place at specific times and locations within the resort. Guests have access to over 20 accompanied experiences across Xixim’s eight laboratories including Meditation, Voice, Movement, Sound, Cooking, Plants, Crystals and Celestial Observation.

Under the expert direction of Chef Israel Layola, Xixim’s cuisine elevates Yucatecan flavors to new heights. The monumental two-story palapa, connected by a spiral bamboo staircase, overlooks the emerald sea, providing the perfect backdrop for unforgettable sunsets and gastronomic experiences. Fresh seafood and iconic Yucatan dishes take center stage, positioning Celestún as a gastronomic epicenter.

The eco-luxe property is also a perfect destination for groups, whether it’s a memorable wedding, a family reunion, or a space for unconventional team building. The property offers two multipurpose rooms for smaller groups, ensuring that special events are as unique as its surroundings.

Xixim further expands Mundo Imperial’s presence in Yucatan, following the 2021 debut of the WAYAM Mundo Imperial. Xixim’s proximity to WAYAM, a less than two-hour drive away, offers the perfect “best of both worlds” experience for travelers seeking a city-beachside escape.
