The Convention Industry Council (CIC) offers its congratulations to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) in response to CEIR’s recent release of its White Paper: Space Available…The Rest of the Story a commentary and response to the Brookings Institution Research Brief published earlier this year.
CIC salutes CEIR’s efforts, said Mary E. Power, CAE, president and CEO of CIC. We feel strongly that the factual data included in this paper is critical to understanding the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry as a whole.
The CIC board of directors, who received a copy of the paper at its recent meeting held in Washington DC on March 10, 2005, has agreed to post this document on the CIC website to be used as a reference for the industry.
