Owned by New Cairo for Real Estate Investment Company SAE, the 128-room resort will be ideally located within the Katameya Dunes development, a 1.8 million square meter luxury residential compound in the New Cairo City District.

“We look forward to partnering with New Cairo for Real Estate Investment Company to introduce the Westin brand and its innovative wellness and lifestyle programming in Egypt,” said Michael Wale, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East. “Westin is enjoying phenomenal global growth due to the success of its distinctive wellness positioning, innovative products and brand-led programs, and we are excited to debut the brand in Cairo next year.”

The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa Katameya Dunes will be located within a prestigious and exclusive residential community with a 27-hole championship golf course designed by Nick Faldo & Brian Curley of Texas, USA and will be the development’s flagship resort. The hotel will offer golf enthusiasts, business and leisure travelers a tranquil retreat that is steeped in wellness and just 20 minutes from Cairo International Airport.

Situated in a breath-taking landscaped enclave, The Westin Cairo will offer 127 beautifully-appointed guest rooms and one presidential suite, all featuring the latest in-room technology as well as the renowned Westin Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Bath, Heavenly Shower, Heavenly Robe and exclusive White Tea Aloe bath amenities. The Westin Cairo Hotel & Spa will also offer four dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a cafe, a bar and a lounge. Spanning 12,500 square metres, the hotel will provide other facilities such as a spacious ballroom, The Heavenly Spa by Westin, the Nick Faldo & Brian Curley designed golf course, a pool, fitness center and a 24-hour business center.

“With the Westin brand’s reputation for industry firsts and a winning approach to well-being, we have earned guest loyalty and strong demand among owners and developers around the world,” said Bart Carnahan, Senior Vice President Acquisitions & Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa & Middle East. “The addition of The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa Katameya Dunes will strengthen Starwood’s extensive portfolio in the country, underlining our commitment to growth in one of the world’s most remarkable destinations.”
