Miles Partnership makes strategic investment in Black Diamond

Black Diamond’s expertise in strategy, public relations and representation services complements Miles Partnership’s expertise in travel marketing and media buying, and this new partnership enhances both organisations’ capabilities to serve a greater span of client needs.

Miles Partnership, a strategic marketing consultancy in the travel and tourism industry, announced that it has made a strategic investment in Black Diamond, an integrated media and communications agency specialising in travel.

With more than 350 employees, Miles Partnership serves 130-plus notable tourism clients from its headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, its flagship office in Lakewood, Colorado, and its regional offices around the U.S. and in New Zealand. London-based Black Diamond currently has 40 employees and works with 37 clients worldwide.

Black Diamond’s expertise in strategy, public relations and representation services complements Miles Partnership’s expertise in travel marketing and media buying, and this new partnership enhances both organisations’ capabilities to serve a greater span of client needs. As a London-based company with an international portfolio of travel clients, Black Diamond also provides a launching point for Miles Partnership to further expand into Europe, the Middle East, and other territories around the globe.

Miles Partnership and Black Diamond have a proven history of successful collaboration. “I am excited to formalise and expand our partnership,” said Jim Odoire, Managing Director of Black Diamond. “Our teams have a shared focus on innovation and anticipating what’s next for our industry and clients. We see this as an opportunity to co-develop transformative products and services that help tourism organisations globally face the challenges ahead.”

“Our combined global organisation will be a leading force in tourism marketing, public relations and representation services,” said David Burgess, President & CEO of Miles Partnership. “Together we will play a critical role in the evolution of how consumers are inspired to travel and how destinations ensure they deliver quality experiences.”

Black Diamond will continue to be led by Managing Director, Jim Odoire, and Head of Creative and Strategy, Jonah Whitaker. Black Diamond’s founder, Guy Chambers, will move into a strategic consulting role.

Black Diamond will maintain its brand and operate independently of Miles Partnership.
