BookingTek appoints Jenny Kurdle as new Senior VP of US

Former MICROS Executive Vice President (EVP) joins direct booking software firm BookingTek to support global growth in the hospitality sector.

LONDON – BookingTek, the leading direct booking software provider to the hospitality industry, announced it had appointed hospitality industry veteran Jenny Kurdle as its Senior Vice President (SVP), US. Kurdle will assume responsibility for BookingTek's US operations and business development activities, and will be integral in leading the company's growth in the United States.

Based in BookingTek's Washington, D.C. Metro Center office, Kurdle joins BookingTek having spent 25 years at MICROS Systems (now Oracle Hospitality) where she was the Executive VP, US & Canada.

At MICROS Systems, a leading provider of enterprise applications for the hospitality and retail industries worldwide, Kurdle oversaw software, sales and service, and was responsible for $500 million of revenue. Leading a 2,000 strong workforce, Kurdle managed a portfolio of global Food & Beverage and Hotel clients and was instrumental in developing the strategy to drive business within multiple verticals including casinos, airports, stadiums and cruise ships.

Jenny Kurdle, newly appointed Senior VP, US at BookingTek, said: "The online booking ecosystem is at a crucial stage, particularly for meetings. As OTAs start to move into the hotel meeting space, I believe BookingTek is very well positioned to help hotels continue to promote their own brands. Their unique real-time integration with Opera is a real game-changer. I know the industry and the US market very well, and I'm confident in being able to help the company grow and achieve its ambitions. I haven't been this excited about a role in a long time. I'm thrilled to join the BookingTek team.

"I met with Matthew (BookingTek's Founder and CEO) in the US earlier this year and was immediately enthused by his passion and energy for what BookingTek has accomplished but more for the strategy of what's to come. I wanted to be part of something exciting with huge growth potential so joining BookingTek was a no brainer."

Matthew Stubbs, CEO of BookingTek, said: "I'm absolutely delighted Jenny is joining the BookingTek team to head our growth in the US. Jenny is a hospitality industry expert, with more than 25 years of experience partnering with hotels and restaurants to help them better invest in and utilize technology. She brings a wealth of experience in engaging and delivering software and services for enterprise customers.

"I know she will do a fantastic job spearheading growth in the US, where a number of hotels are now tooling themselves up to provide high-quality direct booking channels for their meetings and restaurants."
