Travellers from New York, Miami, Atlanta and Toronto are now able to just transit via Saint-Lucia and fly to Martinique , from the same airport, Vieux-Fort/Hewanorra (UVF).

Thanks to Take Air Lines, travelling to Martinique from North America will be easier. With two Dorniers 228 and one Caravan 208 and a pair of Embraer 120 due to be added by July 2005 (respectively 19, 9 and 30 seaters), Take Air Lines operate under a franchise agreement with Air Caraïbes.

Daily flights from Saint-Lucia to Martinique allowing connections with main US cities and Toronto:

Daily: Miami with a connection on American Airlines
Saturdays and Sundays: Philadelphia with a connection on U.S. Airways
Saturdays: Charlotte with a connection on U.S. Airways
Every day except Wednesday and Thursday: Atlanta with a connection on Delta
Saturdays and Sundays: Toronto with a connection on Air Canada

Of course, all connections are still offered from the Miami HUB. Available for booking on most GDS, Take Air Lines` code is TX and the public rate varies, according to the season, between 147 euros and 110 euros round trip from St Lucia.

Business agreements are being signed with Air Caraïbes and other US companies for luggage check-in and in the meantime, passengers will be helped by the local airline representative for all transit and check-in requirements. Take Air Lines` officials say that they are willing to wait for passengers whose flight coming from the US is delayed.

The airline is thus diligently seeking business agreements with all major US airlines to be able to offer an even more practical way for passengers to get to Martinique.
