GAP Adventure improves payment options

Starting 1 October, new Gap Adventures bookings will no longer require travellers to pay a portion of their tour price locally on the first day of a trip. This ‘local payment’ is now being included in the pricing displayed on the Gap Adventures website. Overall tour prices remain the same and passengers who booked before 1 October will be given the option of pre-paying local charges, while the revised price plan will apply to all tours booked after that date. Some local park fees and charges still apply on certain tours.

The improvement-following consultations with trade partners who indicated their preference for a simplified process-offers greater convenience and budget certainty for Gap Adventures’ passionate travellers. The payment adjustment also provides a financial benefit for agents and trade partners who will now earn commission on the full sale price of a tour, including any portion of the price previously listed as a local payment.

“We place the utmost importance on listening to, and constantly working toward improving our relationships with all trade partners,” commented John Warner, Managing Director for Gap Adventures. “Our aim is to ensure that our pricing is transparent for both the consumer and agent alike. It became clear that our trade partners and customers had a preference for all-inclusive price for our tours, we naturally welcomed their feedback and took steps to implement this as soon as possible.”
