Featuring on the bill will be a group of 180 musicians from Corfu comprising a mandolin group and band. The cultural organisation of the Rhodes municipality, which is organising the event, will hand out awards to the best floats and parade participants as well as those citizens bearing the best yards, gardens and balconies.
The body`s chariman, Manolis Antonoglou, said the emphasis this year would be on quality while noting it would be the first time live bands will be on hand to entertain onlookers.
Expressions of interest must be submitted by May 10.
