The Government of the State of Bahrain has announced that they will host the seventh Arabian Travel Market  Conference,  which will be held at the Gulf Hotel and Conference Centre, Manama from 4-6 May 2002.

The conference will be held immediately prior to Arabian Travel Market, ATM , which will take place 7-10 May at Airport Expo Dubai.

The conference will be opened by HE Nabil bin Yacoub Al Hamar, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Tourism of the Government of the State of Bahrain. Key topics will be addressed including the development of a strong regional destination identity and the importance of customer care by airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other providers.

Bob Tolley, of Focus Advertising and Marketing Communications, who organise the Conference commented: ‘By rotating the conference venue around the Gulf, we offer opportunities for delegates to experience various destinations and to meet senior industry figures in a more relaxed atmosphere, where views can be exchanged and shared’.

Matt Thompson, Exhibition Director, Arabian Travel Market added: ‘ Arabian Travel Market is now recognised as more than a trade exhibition and Reed Travel Exhibitions,RTE, are dedicated to providing the industry with an all-encompassing travel and tourism event for the Middle East and pan Arab region. The ATM Conference supports this aim by providing an educational forum to the event and its rotation of venue underlines our commitment to the whole region.’
