CW Government Travel (CWGT), part of the Carlson family of brands and services, has been chosen by the U.S. Department of Education to provide eTravel Servicesm (eTS), a travel and expense management system.

CWGT, one of the largest suppliers of eTS to the federal government, will use its proprietary E2 Solutions product for all of the Department of Education`s travel needs, including planning and authorization, approvals, reservations, vouchers, and reporting. The contract, estimated to be worth $8.2 million begins with a base period through November 2006, with agency options to extend the agreement through November 2013. CWGT is the current provider of traditional Travel Management Center services for the department.

We are eager to get started and will work hard to ensure success, said Scott Guerrero, Chief Operating Officer of CW Government Travel. CWGT anticipates a seamless transition to the eTS environment for the Department of Education.

In addition to the Department of Education, CWGT now provides eTS to the Department of Interior, State Department, General Services Administration Headquarters, Department of Labor, National Business Center, and a number of other federal agencies.

CWGT is immediately launching GetThere, the online booking engine component of E2 Solutions. The Department of Education has set the goal and expectation to increase the use of online bookings to 70 percent by January 2006. According to CWGT, that goal is attainable because within one month of launching GetThere, several major bureaus within the Department of Interior were processing more than 60 percent of their travel reservations online.
