Synergi, Inc, hosted a dedicated meeting for worldwide Synergi Partners which focussed on the importance of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) industry and evaluated opportunities for further global cooperation and growth.

Whilst Synergi continues to be a leading global travel management specialist, a significant number of Synergi Partners also operate separate divisions within at least one of the MICE categories. The global organisation has seen a tremendous growth this year in terms of global presence and multi-national clients, which shows no signs of slowing. Complementary to this business travel growth is the corporate client’s MICE activity which can amount to a significant level of volume.

“The importance of MICE has been a growing trend within Synergi over recent years and I’m delighted to have been present at this meeting to learn about the wide-ranging expertise, capabilities and uniqueness of Partners within our global organisation.” said Dudley Randall, Managing Director for Synergi South Africa / Turners International Travel Services. He continued, “With such niche specialists across the MICE spectrum I am confident that Synergi has the platform to build a successful global MICE product to benefit us all. Providing not only educational content but also focussing on client benefits and networking strategy, this meeting has set the scene for some very exciting developments in our MICE offering.”

The level of interest from the Synergi Partners for continued MICE strategy planning and further cooperation is very high. Evidence of this was clear with nearly half the Synergi Partners worldwide registering to attend the event which took place in Barcelona, Spain on the 28th November 2005. The meeting was scheduled to take place one day before the opening of EIBTM, one of the biggest meetings and incentives exhibitions in the world, which was also be attended by a number of Synergi Partners.

“As part of a re-engineered business model, Synergi is further strengthening the diversity of products offered globally. We see an opportunity for our Partners to grow their business, not only through provision of unique business travel management services, but also through development and growth of their MICE divisions, an area where we collectively harness a very high level of expertise throughout the organisation,” commented Greg O’Neil, Synergi president. He continued “This meeting has brought this expertise together to strategise, educate and provide an opportunity for all important networking and team-building. We expect to see our MICE offering develop into a truly global, high quality brand to complement perfectly our leading multi-national business travel management services.”
