Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry organized a press conference on Thursday December 18, to announce advertisement agencies that will promote Turkey abroad next year. Speaking at the conference, Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay said that Turkey had a good tourism year in 2008. Gunay said that in the first 10 months Turkey hosted 23,9 million tourists, 13,5% increase compare to same period last year. Gunay stated that Turkey is likely to surpass 25 million tourist target by the end of December.
Initially Turkey will invest YTL100 million or about €50 million for the promotion of Turkey in 2009. Tulin Sahin, Turkish fashion model, will promote Istanbul as the living side of Istanbul by dDf.
