SAN FRANCISCO – Data-driven travel platform Sojern announced that it achieved record growth in 2013, more than doubling revenue year-over-year. The company also significantly increased its global data footprint via 24 new partnerships to meet the growing demand for its data-driven digital advertising solutions for travel companies.

Based on insight from its massive data set of travel intent which now covers 196 countries, Sojern can see the continuing strength of outbound travel from U.S. and Europe, but is also seeing the rapid expansion of travel to and from Asia Pacific, Latin America and Middle Eastern markets. This echoes a recent report from Amadeus that APAC will be the growth leader over the next ten years, overtaking Europe in outbound travel spend by 2023, followed by Latin America and the Middle East.

The rapid rise of international travel from these markets presents fresh challenges — and opportunities — for the brands trying to reach them. Sojern is uniquely positioned to help brands reach, convert and retain travelers in these high-growth markets. With access to billions of traveler intent data points, Sojern has delivered campaigns for more than 600 global customers. In addition to North America and Western Europe, Sojern’s Traveler Platform has been used by global travel companies to run marketing campaigns in high-growth markets like Brazil, China, Russia, Singapore, India, Mexico and the Middle East.

A growing global data set curated for optimum performance allows us to help our multinational clients leverage travel patterns and consumer intent to effectively target the right traveler, with the right message, at the right time, anywhere in the world,” said Stephen Taylor, VP and MD International, Sojern. “This has enabled us to expand rapidly across the globe.”

Sojern established its international headquarters in London last year and has built a multinational team with key personnel dedicated to UK, France, Germany, Southern Europe and the Middle East region. Sojern has grown its staff by over 50 percent since the start of 2013, adding key engineering, sales, data science, and business development hires across the globe.

In recognition of its momentum, Sojern was recently named the fastest-growing travel technology company on Deloitte’s 2013 Technology Fast 500 list.
