World Travel Market Africa attracts exhibitors from all corners of the globe

With the UNWTO reporting growth in both inbound and outbound tourism and some African nations expected to grow at an average annual rate of 5.7% – the highest of any world region – WTM Africa is a vital platform for the African travel and tourism industry.

The next World Travel Market Africa (WTM Africa) taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 15 – 17 April 2015, is attracting exhibitors from all over Africa and beyond, ensuring that this premier event caters for both the inbound and outbound sectors of travel and tourism in and out of Africa.

“Whilst we had a good number of exhibitors from outside of Southern Africa at the inaugural event, we are very excited that already the interest from other parts of Africa and internationally has really taken off making WTM Africa a truly global trade event for our continent” says Sheree Simpson, Exhibition Manager for WTM Africa.

Already signed up to exhibit is Asia King Travel. This specialist Destination Management Company tailor makes itineraries in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. They offer tailor-made individual tours, private group tours, incentive tours as well as soft trekking, cycling tours and other various ground handling services. “We are very delighted to be attending WTM Africa once again as last year’s participation has proved our ability to deliver the trustworthy and qualified services to African partners”, says Nam Nguyen from Asia King Travel”.

Another exhibitor looking to increase their contacts from here in Africa is Missing Italia. “We are a specialist inbound tour operator offering the best solutions for tour operators and travel agents who, tired of travelling around in circles, are searching for the best solutions for their clients. We are hoping to meet with like-minded business associates at WTM Africa with whom we can grow our visitor numbers from the African Continent to Italy” commented Patricia Fasolato from Missing Italia

Returning for a second year is the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Ali Selcuk Can had this to say about their enthusiasm to again participate in WTM Africa. “We were so proud to be one of the international destinations on show at the inaugural WTM Africa in 2014 and we are looking forward to being part of its growth here in the tip of Africa. We see much potential from this region for travel into Turkey and we are again very happy to showcase our fascinating country to buyers from all over South Africa, Continental Africa and the globe.”
