No.1 Traveller welcomes Norwegian guests at Gatwick

Award-winning airport lounge specialist No.1 Traveller has launched a new partnership with leading Scandinavian airline Norwegian to welcome its premium-class passengers at the No.1 lounge in Gatwick’s South Terminal.

Norwegian is the first low-cost airline to introduce transatlantic routes, with a daily flight to New York, Los Angeles or Fort Lauderdale, which will double in May 2015. Having chosen No.1 Traveller as its preferred lounge partner, Norwegian’s premium-class passengers will be able to take full advantage of No.1’s facilities which include a selection of freshly prepared, complimentary food and drink, a fully tended bar, bistro table service, unlimited WiFi access, a range of newspapers and magazines, and runway views. In addition, Norwegian’s economy-class passengers will be able to purchase No.1 lounge entry for £25.00 at the check-in desk – a saving of £5 on the door price.

Kay Joyce, Head of Commercial Relationships at No.1 Traveller, said: “Norwegian has pioneered high-quality low-cost with its transatlantic services, so we’re honoured to have been chosen to offer our premium pre-flight experience as a benefit to its long haul passengers. It’s a sign of how progressive Norwegian is that it’s also made our services available to its economy passengers at a discounted rate.  We’re looking forward to welcoming many Norwegian passengers soon.”

Chief Commercial Officer Thomas Ramdahl at Norwegian added “The customer can expect a smooth and easy travel experience with Norwegian. That’s why we’re very pleased to be able to offer our premium passengers on intercontinental routes free access to airport lounges at several airports in our route network.”
