Based and shaped on Costa neoRomantica success, the Pizzeria on board Costa ships provides 100% Italian pizza in 14 different flavours. Guests will live an experience of absolute taste, enjoying a pizza baked by Italian “pizzaioli”, who are trained and graduated at the renowned Accademia Italiana della Pizza.
The secret of the quality is in the raw material, such as mozzarella fiordilatte, the proving of the dough, the stone deck oven and the authentic recipes. Guests will be able to choose among a wide selection of traditional pizza flavours like Margherita, Napoletana, Quattro Stagioni, Calzone and the typical Ligurian Focaccia al Formaggio: a pizza for every season and every guest’s taste.
All Costa guests can experience the mood of a casual meal, having dinner in an Italian typical Pizzeria open between 6.30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Located close to the self-service restaurant area, the Pizzeria offers red & white chequered tablecloths and a traditional table setting with Extra Virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and chili oil. For a small fee guests choosing to eat in the Pizzeria will be able to taste, not only their favorite pizza made to order, but also unlimited salads and a delicious dessert, including the renowned Italian Tiramisu!
Guests do not even need to make a reservation at the Pizzeria and can simply show up at the restaurant at their own time. The meals will be supplemented by a special wine by the glass program and draft beer selected by Costa experts.
Guests will be able to enlarge their food experience with some exclusive Costa happenings: show cooking and acrobatic pizza demonstrations as well as Pizza and Tiramisu workshops where guests can show their culinary skills while cruising.
