The Welcome City Lab by Paris&Co, innovation platform dedicated to tourism, has launched its 2016 incubation call for application. Created in 2013 with the support of the Paris City Hall, the Welcome City Lab has already accompanied over 50 startups through its traveltech incubation program, to embark them successfully on the world travel market.
The initiative is supported by the founding partners (the founders) and public actors, among the world leaders in the sector, and involving themselves directly in accelerating the incubated startups: Aeroports de Paris, Air France, Amadeus, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, French Ministry for Tourism, Galeries Lafayette, Skyboard, RATP, Sodexo Prestige, Viparis, Paris City Hall, BpiFrance, and the Paris Convention Bureau & Tourist Office.
This call for application covers the strategic areas of those founders.
It is intended for innovative companies, French or not, under 3 years, finalizing or having completed the development of a first offer which relevance to the market is validated either by a previous study or by a beta tester or by first customers.
Projects should only cover the following areas:
1. Welcoming: Improving reception and visitor experience
2. Business: Tourism and Business Travel and Events
3.Experience: Creation of new experiences on physical venues
4.Data: Valuate tourism data, customer relationship
5. Paris: Enlargement of the Paris destination
A particular attention will be given to projects run by women, as still being a minority within startup teams.
This call is open until Sunday, January 31, 2016 at midnight. The selected companies will integrate Welcome City Lab from March 2016.
