Three million euros for the digitalization of hotel rooms with SuitePad

SuitePad is a tablet-based solution for hotels that unites the guest directory, newspapers, restaurant menu, and other in-room paper-based items on a single tablet in the hotel room.

MUNICH – Berlin-based SuitePad GmbH announced a three million euros financing round. SuitePad provides hotels with a digital connection to their guests during their stay. The round was led by new investor Target Partners, and was supported by existing investors HW Capital, Kizoo, and VC Fonds Technologie Berlin, a fund managed by IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft.

SuitePad is a tablet-based solution for hotels that unites the guest directory, newspapers, restaurant menu, and other in-room paper-based items on a single tablet in the hotel room. The tablets integrate with both hotel property management systems and SuitePad’s cross-property SaaS platform. Guests also benefit from touch-to-order room service, spa offers, or booking of local events through their SuitePad. Hotels can interact with their guests in real-time through messaging, promote special offers, and gather feedback. SuitePads even replace hotel room phones. The company will use the fresh capital to expand their international sales team, and introduce new features to enhance interaction between guests and hotels, offer more entertainment options, and optimize hotel workflows.

Already in more than 200 hotels with more than 10,000 hotel rooms
Moritz von Petersdorff-Campen, SuitePad co-founder and managing director, said: “The hotel industry has successfully digitalized the pre- and post-stay guest experiences, but continues to use paper-based communication for the most important segment: during the stay. Our goal is to help hotels bring the during-stay guest experience to the 21st century.“

“We’ve been impressed with the team, their international growth in 2015 and the market potential worldwide. SuitePad provides a much needed solution for hoteliers to enhance their guests’ stay,“ explained Berthold von Freyberg, Partner at Target Partners.

SuitePad was founded in 2012 by Moritz von Petersdorff-Campen and Tilmann Volk. SuitePads can already be found in over 200 hotels with more than 10,000 rooms across Europe. Outside of Europe, the company recently added the first hotels in Asia and South America to its growing list of customers.
