American Eagle Airlines announces nonstop Jet Service between Los Angeles and Boise, Idaho

American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop jet service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Boise Airport (BOI) in Boise, Idaho, beginning April 5. Eagle will operate the service with 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets.

"American Eagle is delighted to introduce service from Los Angeles – one of American’s key cornerstone markets – to Boise," said Gary Foss, Vice President – Planning and Marketing for American’s regional network. "With two daily round-trip flights, customers in western Idaho will now have convenient nonstop access to the West Coast and connections throughout American’s global network."

"Adding these flights is a great sign of better days ahead for Idaho. American Airlines is showing confidence that the Boise market and Idaho’s economy will generate the kind of revenue it needs to operate this route profitably," said Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter. "It also is an important step toward our goal of establishing a critical mass of business for Idaho’s emerging aircraft industry, and we get the added benefit of a solid corporate citizen in American Airlines that understands the importance of relationships with business-friendly communities like ours."
