The four hotels and casinos to visit on a day trip to Vegas

Going to the Vegas Strip? You’ve got to see these hotels

Most of us have seen or heard about all the fascinating, glitzy, or just plain weird attractions on the Las Vegas Strip. But, if you're only going for a short visit, you likely won't have time to see everything, as walking even the main sections of the Strip can take a while.

If this is your first time on the Vegas strip, you may wonder which hotels and casinos are a must-see, especially when you only have so much time.

While every hotel provides exciting amenities and design, these are the ones most first-time visitors need to see. Plan your Vegas day trip around these.

Bellagio Resort & Casino
The Bellagio is one of the most iconic hotels in Vegas and is probably the most elegant. It also offers a couple of stand-out attractions. First, there's the well-known Fountains of Bellagio show. This show is free to anyone passing by and is a water show set to lights and music.

Then, there's the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in the resort's atrium. This attraction is also free, and it's a great, peaceful reprieve from the bustle and heat of the Strip.

The Venetian Las Vegas
While the Venetian Resort might not be as glamorous as the Bellagio, it's a good balance between luxury and kitsch. It's often rated as one of the best family-friendly hotels in the area and features a replica of St. Mark's Square in Italy, including canals. It's even possible to take a gondola ride inside the resort.

So, while it might not be like visiting a different country, it's still well-maintained and an excellent place to stop with family and friends.

Caesars Palace
If you've never been to Vegas, then you have to stop by just for how recognizable Caesars Palace is. It also sits in the middle of the Strip, so it's not too hard to take a pit stop. The inside and the grounds are very spacious, and there are many places to eat and shop. There's also the large Coliseum theater, where many of the greats like Elton John and Celine Dion have performed.

Luxor Hotel & Casino
Another Las Vegas attraction you'll want to see on your day trip is the Luxor. Truthfully, if you're anywhere near the area, you'll see this large pyramid, as it definitely stands out. This is even more true at night when the top of the pyramid emits a light beam into the dark sky.

Based on Egyptian pyramids, this loose replica has a huge atrium that's actually the biggest one in the world. That iconic light beam is also the strongest in the world. While it might not be as fancy as others on this list, it's such a big part of Vegas that you'll want to at least get a few pictures.

While these aren't all the exciting hotels, casinos, and attractions in Vegas, they are the ones you'll regret not getting a better look at. Even if you don't choose one of these to stay at, you'll want to explore the grounds or the lobbies to capture the essence of Vegas over various decades.

And, if you have time, there are even more to see, such as MGM Grand and Mirage Hotel & Casino.
