The Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show reigns with more than 17K attendees

The Premier Travel Show Series in the U.S. brings together travel experts and enthusiasts and is where adventures begin.

LOS ANGELES – The Travel & Adventure Shows hosted their fifth show in as many weeks at the Los Angeles Convention Center Feb. 18 and 19, welcoming more than 17,000 travel enthusiasts, a 50% increase over 2022 that rivaled pre pandemic attendance. Furthermore, the show, which marked its 18th year in Los Angeles, included more than 250 exhibitors, 591 travel advisors and over 2,300 travel trade and media members. Show attendees engaged with destination representatives, tour operators and travel providers both domestically and from around the globe offering up travel ideas and inspiration. Attendees were given the opportunity to take advantage of special deals and promotions on the spot to stretch their travel dollar and make their domestic and international dream vacations a reality.

The Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show featured keynotes by industry heavyweights Rick Steves, host of Rick Steves’ Europe and Travel with Rick Steves; Pauline Frommer, editorial director of the Frommer’s Guides & Publisher of Frommers.com; and Peter Greenberg, Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter, producer and CBS News travel editor. The Savvy Traveler Theater showcased travel tips, tricks and actionable advice from notable travel experts. Topics included packing tips and travel hacks and tech from Angel Castellanos; an inside scoop on today’s travel landscape from travel concierge Sarah Dandashy; enjoying memorable and enriching travel with Lisa Niver; and ways to cut travel costs without skimping from Russell Hannon and more.

An attendee favorite was a fresh fish cooking demo and key lime pie tasting with Chef Paul Menta on behalf of Key West and The Florida Keys. Other activities included a rock wall climbing experience from Visit Yosemite Madera County, the Global Beats stage featuring cultural performances representing different destinations from around the world, an Alaska land and sea adventures photo booth courtesy Visit Anchorage, and passport services sponsored by the Los Angeles Passport Agency.

“The 2023 Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show marked our 18th year in the City of Angels and it’s no secret that this one was the most important. We are excited to see its revival back to a pre-pandemic audience, both from an attendance perspective and number of exhibitors and what they bring to the show floor,” said John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm, LLC, which produces the Travel & Adventure Shows. “This year we saw exhibitions that spanned the country from Sitka, Alaska to Miami, Florida and around the world from Brazil to Japan, as well as tour companies that include Arctic expeditions to African safaris.”

Remaining shows include Atlanta (March 25-26) and Dallas (April 1-2).
