A1 Travel starts working with the Labranda Hotel chain for 2016

A1 Travel is about to launch a new marketing campaign to promote the Labranda hotel chain, which is owned by the Munich based travel firm FTI.

UNITED KINGDOM – The deal will see one of the UK’s fastest growing travel firms teaming up with Germany’s fourth largest tour operator. Both firms have been in the travel business for decades. A1 Travel was founded in 1978 and FTI in 1983, so both firms know their markets well. The two firms have risen to the top of their respective markets by innovating and adapting to the changing needs of their clients.

FTI have just restructured the hotel and resort side of its business. In 2016, all 24 of the firm’s hotels and resorts will be rebranded under a new brand name. By next April, all of the firm’s hotels will carry the new Labraunda name.

In ancient times, the Labranda was an important meeting place in South West Turkey. The site was held sacred by both the Carians and Mysians. It was a place where cultures came together, and was viewed as a sanctuary.

The founder and CEO of FTI Dietmar Gunz spoke to a reporter from fvw, which is the leading German trade magazine for tourism and business travel, about the changes the firm was making. He said:

“We are strengthening the visibility of our hotels and making it easier for sales partners. With our own hotel product, we are expanding our involvement in the hotel business. We are focusing on hotels in medium-low to medium-high segment.”

The company is also planning to add 10 more properties to their portfolio by the end of 2016. These will come on stream gradually adding hundreds of rooms to the 4,500 the company already owns.

Many of the hotels and resorts that FTI currently owns are in areas that are already very popular with the holidaymakers who book via A1 Travel. The travel specialists expect the new deals to be well received by its customers, so the firm is putting together a massive marketing campaign to launch the new partnership.

A1 Travel customers will be able to choose from seven different categories of Labranda accommodation ranging from small and friendly three star hotels right up to premium 5 star resort rooms. By next April, there will be 15 Labranda hotels to choose from on the Canary Islands alone as well as others scattered throughout the rest of Africa and other parts of the world.
